Having never taken the path of darkness, Dorothy was acknowledged as the rightful heir of the Four Witches and came to be called the White Witch. With a white hat and a white cloak, she weaves her magic from the crystals of the stars, with her cat Oz still at her side. Her habit of scribbling research notes deep into the night remains unchanged.
In the hands of Dorothy the dark-robed witch, oddly enough, there is always a research journal. The sight of it left people perpetually unsure whether she was a witch or a scholar.
