Even after she is rescued by Demona, Luci remains wary of the Devil. It is only after she reaches Hell Island and sees the peaceful lives led by the Devilish race that she comes to realize the error of her ways. Unlike the evil Demons, Devils were people who had overcome temptation with strong will and the pure goodness of their hearts. Enlightened by the truth, Luci swears to protect Hell and its residents until the day she dies, hoping that she can repent for her sins of sending innocent people to burn at the stake.

Before walking the path of an inquisitor, Luci once spent days pulling a straw hat low over her eyes and tilling the soil. Beneath that hat adorned with little horns, the world she peered at was simple — and she believed her hands, which sorted weed from crop, could weigh every right and wrong. She had no idea, they say, that those same hands would one day stack firewood for a pyre.
When it comes to judging right from wrong, Luci does not hesitate for even a moment. Once she has delivered her verdict, there is no reversal and no excuse.
