Without any pact with the devil, he ruthlessly cut down whoever displeased him, and Abel and his other brothers had to hold their breath in their own places and endure. Instead of calling him the True Demon, the people called him a tyrant — and which of the two is the more cruel, they say, was never decided in the end.
